Frequently Asked Questions.
Because utility apps should never require a monthly subscription. You buy it once, you own the binary forever. I despise rent-seeking SaaS models for basic OS functionality.
Is Pasty an Electron app?
Absolutely not. If I wanted to drain your battery and hijack 800MB of RAM, I would have built it in JavaScript. Pasty is written from scratch in pure Swift 6 and natively accelerated via Apple's Metal API. It's incredibly fast.
Is my clipboard data sent to a server?
Never. Pasty operates entirely offline, using AES-256 encryption to sandbox your history directly to your Mac's persistent local storage. There are no tracking scripts, crash reporters, or analytics engines.
Why does the UI look so good?
Because I built a proprietary Liquid Glass compositing engine that leverages raw hardware acceleration. Unlike standard tools that use cheap CSS wrappers, Pasty physically refracts the pixels behind it perfectly seamlessly at 120Hz ProMotion.
